Director of Information Technology

Position Description

Gruve is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to serve as Director of Information Technology (IT). The Director will be responsible for managing all IT and data infrastructure assets globally, ensuring Gruve’s technology platforms and systems are aligned with its business strategy of delivering software and services. The Director of IT will collaborate closely with service practice organizations to identify and implement technology solutions that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction, all while ensuring business and customer SLAs are met.

In this key leadership role, you’ll help establish technical and program standards and lead a global team of IT engineers. Your focus will be on coordination and collaboration with IT partners and managed services, ensuring governance and compliance with ITSM standards, and supporting the technical growth and development of IT team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the management of all IT and data infrastructure assets globally, including servers, storage systems, network devices, security platforms and other computer hardware.
  • Provide technical leadership to the IT team, including setting priorities, allocating resources, tracking program and project activities and ensuring that the team has the necessary expertise to deliver against the organization’s OKRs.
  • Collaborate with service practice organizations to identify and implement technology solutions that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT assets and systems in partnership with managed services teams.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans for the IT department
  • Work closely with external partners, such as vendors and third-party service providers, to ensure that the organization's IT needs are met when leveraging as-a-service solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and advise the organization on their potential impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing global IT teams and delivering results
  • Proven experience in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans
  • Project and Program Management experience, including successfully delivering on global IT transformation and change management projects
  • Experience with Project and Program Management platforms
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM models and application in large organizations
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as needed
