AI is fundamentally reshaping our economy, workforce, and society, creating a sense of urgency and uncertainty for business leaders to think about what AI means for how we work and hire. The conversations have already started in boardrooms as organizations look to translate AI’s potential into practice, and Gruve.ai is expanding its leadership to guide this inflection point. To help leaders see the bigger picture during this seismic shift, we are welcoming Toby Stuart and V. “Paddy” Padmanabhan as advisors to Gruve.ai. Their guidance will help enterprise executives and strategic board members maintain a change mindset, navigate the unknowns, and think deeply about the fundamental shifts AI will bring to how we work and hire.
Meet Professor Toby Stuart
Toby Stuart has dedicated his career to exploring the intersection of technology, work, and organizational design. With academic roles at Harvard, University of Chicago, Columbia, Berkeley, and MIT, and as a board member, cofounder, and advisor to leading technology companies, Toby has seen how emerging technologies like AI reshape the nature of work and how enterprises operate. Toby’s research team works on AI projects and he is the author of a forthcoming book, Anointed.
His work helps leaders focus on what AI really means for their businesses, guiding them to ask the right questions and think critically about the big-picture shifts ahead. Together with Gruve’s experienced industry leaders, Toby helps leaders connect emerging shifts in AI with what it will take to prepare their teams and organizations for what’s next. Helping break down complex shifts into clear frameworks so teams can see the big picture while knowing how to move forward.
Meet Professor V. “Paddy” Padmanabhan
Paddy is a seasoned academic, Unilever Professor of Marketing at INSEAD Singapore, and author who believes that the biggest barrier to change isn’t a lack of ideas but that “proven success formulas” make it hard for organizations to reimagine and take the steps necessary to evolve. Paddy’s focus on helping leaders build practical paths to doing things differently aligns with Gruve’s hands-on, outcome-driven approach. He has spent his career helping leaders translate technological shifts into business advantage.
Helping Leaders Bridge Knowing and Doing with AI
We believe that operationalizing AI, not just theorizing about it, is the path to delivering real outcomes. Doing this well requires practical execution paired with actionable insights about how AI will restructure organizations, workflows, and how value is created in an AI-augmented world.
Across industries, leaders know AI will change how work gets done, but many are still stuck on how to move from idea to implementation. Gruve closes this gap by embedding with enterprise teams to identify where AI can drive the most value, and then building, deploying, and operating AI systems that deliver results. This includes integrating AI into live workflows, fine-tuning models with enterprise data, and managing security, compliance, and change so adoption lasts.
Toby and Paddy will help to design and lead C-level workshops that turn macro trends into actionable insights, helping executives align their teams and establish perspectives on top of single vision and bridge the ideas to execution. Bringing Toby and Paddy into Gruve will help us continue to elevate how we guide enterprises through this technological shift with clarity and practical execution, their perspectives strengthen our mission of turning AI potential into real-world results for industry leaders.
